Approximately five months in development, the new Door County web brand is a comprehensive, interactive, innovative user experience that captures the charm, pleasure and fun of a vacation to Door County, Wisconsin — in a fresh, lively, robust and exciting format that communicates the region’s new brand message also developed by NOISE, “Your stories. Noting that more than two million visitors enjoy Door County each year, Jack Moneypenny, President and CEO of the organization, commented that “we’re ecstatic about the creation and launch of Door County Visitor Bureau’s new online home. Visitors to our web will love the look and feel of the site — bright, airy, cheerful, easy to navigate, involving, relaxing, all words that describe the Door County vacation experience.”
Developed by NOISE Inter.Active, the web development and web marketing division of NOISE (a 24-year smart, award winning communications agency with offices in Milwaukee, Wis. and Sanibel, Fla.), the new website includes an “Explore the Door” video series, a visitor forum/blog and an interactive map that allows users to choose certain activities and locate these activities within Door County. Understanding the value of the thousands of people who love Door County, www.DoorCounty.com will feature a “Scrapbook Your Visit” element on the new site that incorporates Facebook and ScrapBlog, allowing visitors to share photos, stories and even individual itineraries. There will also be links to Door County Visitor Bureau’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages.
“NOISE Inter.Active has created an exciting, innovative website that is engaging and will be an extreme benefit to the organization and its 1,800 members,” says Mary Parodo, President at NOISE. “Travel and tourism is driven by the Internet, and this site speaks volumes toward welcoming people to Door County.”
“Door County is unique both geographically and to the people who live, work and visit here,” adds Moneypenny. “Just as families and friends gather to create lasting memories along our 300-plus miles of shoreline, this new website will create interaction between people from all over the world who share their love for our beautiful area.”

NOISE announced the launch of the new ‘Tween Waters Inn website at www.tween-waters.com this week, dedicated to enhancing the visitor’s trip experience to Captiva Island. The new site maintains current content as well as new and expanded content, however boasts a more interactive web 2.0, new messaging, new packages and promotions, and QwickClick VideoTours featuring activities, dining, and fun at the resort.
Introducing new pages such as an image gallery and video tours, NOISE focused on creating an experience that would not only be aesthetic, but also more user-friendly and interactive. With easy navigation tabs, the website gives users the ability to book reservations, review the resort, share experiences, view rooms, contact the resort or check rates, while maintaining many of the “fan favorites” such as the beach cam and Tidings blog. Interactive novelties such as the two-minute QwickClick videos allow visitors to receive a more up close and personal introduction to some of the ‘Tween Waters Inn amenities without ever leaving the computer chair.
“Visiting the new website is an experience,” says Jeff Shuff, General Manager of ‘Tween Waters Inn. “It’s not just a place to book reservations or find rates. It’s a place to discover your next big adventure. We are really excited to deliver added value to our customers so that visitors can make informed decisions about their vacations.”
NOISE first remodeled the ‘Tween Waters Inn website in 2004, increasing online reservations and revenue substantially. NOISE plans for the new design to continue to increase reservations, but also awareness of the resort with search engine optimization through the site’s novel use of viral video, interactive media and social media. While the enhancements to the website are significant, the location has not changed: www.tween-waters.com.
