Speech Tails
Good speech is fundamental to succeeding in all areas of life. It is so important that the U.S. government mandates that kids who qualify for Speech Therapy services receive it. The problem is as budget cuts ensue and resource shortages continue, the hurdle to obtaining speech services continues to rise. There is a Milwaukee school child who has errors in over half the sounds in the English language and he did not qualify for services in the school. Children like him all across the United States are the SpeechTails cause and we provide a system which allows kids like him to overcome their speech delays on their own. SpeechTails is proud to say that this little guy has been using our system for a little over two months and has cut his error list down significantly. We need to let the world know about SpeechTails in order to help kids like him everywhere!
Independence First
What do you think about disability? Do you have a disability or a friend or relative that does? Disability can happen to anyone at anytime and when it does, people with disabilities want to do the same things as those without disabilities. They have the same dreams as people with disabilities and the same goals. Wouldn’t you if it happened to you? We think everyone should care about independent living and accessibility. That’s why we need a Just’Cause campaign. People need to know and care.
Independence First is Metro Milwaukee’s FIRST resource when people have questions regarding access and disability. We offer over 20 Programs and Services to people with disabilities of all kinds, in all age groups and provide programs on disability awareness, employment tips and access to
the general community. Over 50% of our staff, managers and Board have disabilities themselves and this peer approach leads to excellent outcomes.
We have some exciting ideas and stories about how people are ready, willing and able to contribute to society. We are tech-savvy in social media spaces, video and web. We’d love a mobile site, a branding campaign, a real game-changing identity and awareness program to gain public consciousness to support our advocacy initiatives. Please vote for us!
Delaware Head Huggers
Delaware Head Huggers is the state of Delaware Chapter of Head Huggers, an organization founded in Maryland in 2001. Delaware Head Huggers collects hand-made hats for patients undergoing chemotherapy, as well as those recovering from brain surgery and burns. Delaware Head Huggers began in November, 2009 and since then, has distributed almost 5,000 hats to cancer centers, hospitals and individuals.

How JUST’CAUSE Works
Each month, just causes — like non-profit organizations, start-up companies with game-changing ideas or people with a personal passion — are encouraged to apply for your Just’Cause grant by nominating your cause here (see Nominate Your Just’Cause above). Get started these easy ways:
- Tell us about your cause (by commenting on our nomination form to a maximum 100 words);
- Send us links to your cause (website, Facebook, more);
- Send us for our upload videos or photos of your cause that you produce or possess, and
- Encourage your cause’s cheerleaders and friends to follow NOISE on Facebook and post your cause’s name on our wall
- Encourage your friends and followers to vote for your cause here via poll on right (vote for up to five causes!).
At the end of each month, votes will be tallied with one winner awarded $2,500 of NOISE services to help their cause — at no charge — and we’ll do it all over again, for 10 months, to celebrate our 25 years in business with $25,000 giving back.
Who We Are
In celebration of 25 years amping the success of leading brands across the U.S. and beyond, NOISE is giving back in 2011 — times $25,000. Beginning in March (our 25th anniversary) and for the following 10 months, just causes — non-profit organizations, start-up companies with game-changing ideas, individuals with a personal passion — can apply for a $2,500 JustCause grant, with the winning cause (as determined by votes) receiving $2,500 NOISE services. We're giving back. We're giving forward.
